"The
Truth"
On one of my trips overseas I had a
Muslim interpreter who during a conversation one day
stated, "this Bible you speak of...I have always wanted to read it."
I was completely caught of guard! The Lord had put it on my heart as I was
packing to leave on this deployment to pack a couple of Arabic New Testaments.
Well I gave him one and he began to read it right away.
I redeployed to the states and received an e-mail from him
a month or so later. In the letter he stated, again to my surprise, "that
book you gave me....I read the whole thing and it was great!" Since then
I have seen him several times on deployments. The last time I saw him he
stated, "this (referring to the gospel) is the truth,
there is no other truth but this!"
However,
this time I was not surprised. I had seen the power of the Holy Spirit. This
man did not live in the Bible Belt, or was raised in Christianity, he did not
have churches on every block, the glory was the Lords!
Hebrews 4:12-13, "For the word of God is living and powerful,
and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul
and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and
intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all
things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give
account." Praise to the God of all creation, for the kingdom is His
forever and ever!!!!
